Redfin is getting ready for an IPO

Online real estate brokerage Redfin has put the “for sale” sign on its own shares, filing the paperwork for an IPO late on Friday. Redfin is backed by some of Silicon Valley’s biggest names, and plans to begin trading on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol “RDFN,” it said in the S-1 filing with the SEC. Lennar second quarter earnings beat Wall Street estimates

  Miami-based Lennar Corp., one of the country’s largest homebuilders, on Tuesday reported lower fiscal second quarter earnings that still exceeded analyst expectations. Earnings including noncontrolling interests fell to $200.7 million, or 91 cents a share, from $224 million, or $1.01 a share, in the second period of 2016.
